Meet The Owner

My name is Kim Davies and I have worked in the Beauty industry for over 35 years and the Fitness industry in the last 10 years. I have brought the two together under the FAB (Fitness and Beauty) Company umbrella and practise in the Swansea and Gower areas. I am a qualified Facial Therapist, Fitness Teacher in the Bagot Stack System (FLexercise), Holistic Therapist, practising Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and Facial Rejuvenation technique, as well as a Nordic Walking Instructor.

I found that regular Nordic Walking, combined with the Fitness classes improved my general wellbeing and helped me achieve new found energy levels and reach goals I never imagined (Marathon in 2013 aged 57 and 26+ mile challenges in 2016, 2017 and 2018). My next project is climbing Snowdon in 2020.

I am also a great believer in complementary therapy, particularly reflexology, it helps restore my body’s balance, which in turn increases my energy levels. Indian Head Massage helps to relieve the tension, calm the mind and stresses of our everyday lives and regular facials help keep the signs of ageing at bay and allow skin to achieve a healthy natural glow.

Walking & Poles – Nordic Walking is a specific fitness technique and is not to be confused with trekking, hill walking or trail running as the poles are not planted in front of the walker/runner but in a specific way that increases the use of the upper body. It can be done by anybody, anywhere and does not require expensive equipment or clothing.

How Does It Work? – Nordic Walking technique MUST be learnt correctly if the participant is to get the most out of the activity – the full Health technique that ensures the whole body works efficiently is only taught by qualified Instructors. Nordic Walking uses poles in order to add two major benefits to walking. The use of poles means the upper body muscles are used as well as the legs.

Fitness & Fun – Nordic Walking is the fastest growing fitness activity in the world and is used by individuals, personal trainers, health clubs, physiotherapists, doctors and health promoters because it is highly effective, affordable and FUN! There is nothing more exhilarating than walking along Swansea Beach, Gower Coastal Path or the Brecon Beacons with a group of like-minded people.
